Perimenopause Consultations
Feel like yourself again with personalised nutrition and lifestyle care
Perimenopause can feel confusing, frustrating, and at times overwhelming. One minute you feel like yourself, the next, you feel different - more irritable, quick to anger, less resilient to stress and putting on weight around the middle. Your mood, energy, sleep, metabolism, and cycle may no longer feel predictable and you’re left wondering what’s going on.
You’re not imagining it and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
As a Clinical Nutritionist, I support women through perimenopause with a personalised, root-cause approach that helps you understand your body, support your hormones, improve symptoms, and feel more in control of your health again.
What is perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the transition phase leading up to menopause, often beginning in your late 30s to mid-40s (sometimes earlier). It can last anywhere from 5-12 years. During this time, hormones - particularly oestrogen and progesterone - begin to fluctuate from month to month, rather than decline in a straight line.
These fluctuations can impact multiple systems in the body, including your nervous system, metabolism, gut health, and brain chemistry - which is why symptoms can feel so varied and unpredictable.
Perimenopause symptoms I can support you with:
Every woman’s experience is unique, but you might be experiencing:
Period changes - it might become heavier, lighter, more painful or irregular - one of the earlier signs of perimenopause is your cycle shortening by a day or two.
Anxiety, irritability, low mood, feelings of rage
Brain fog and poor concentration
Persistent fatigue or burnout
Sleep issues (difficulty falling or staying asleep)
Weight gain (especially around the middle) or difficulty losing weight
Blood sugar crashes and cravings
Bloating, constipation, or gut health issues
Hot flushes and night sweats
Low libido or reduced motivation
Headaches or hormonal migraines
These are not things you just have to ‘put up with’. These symptoms are often signs of underlying hormonal fluctuations, nutrient depletion, stress load, and metabolic changes - all areas where personalised nutrition and lifestyle support can make a meaningful difference.
How nutrition and lifestyle can support perimenopause
Through a personalised approach, and depending on your symptoms, we may focus on:
Balancing blood sugar - to reduce cravings, support energy, prevent weight gain and generally improve metabolic health.
Supporting hormone metabolism - helping your body process and clear hormones effectively
Nourishing your nervous system - reducing stress and supporting mood and anxiety
Improving gut health - a healthy gut lining and microbiome play a key role in hormone balance and reducing inflammation
Replenishing key nutrients - including iron, magnesium, B vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids and more - often depleted during this lifestage following years of pregnancies, breastfeeding and running around after kids
Enhancing sleep - so you are able to get to sleep quickly and wake feeling more refreshed
Together, these foundations can help reduce symptom intensity and support you to feel more like yourself again.
